Cookie Policy
1. What this covers
"Cookies" is the usual word, but it isn't the whole picture. Websites can also store things in your browser's local storage or session storage, which work differently but amount to the same thing: data left on your device between visits or between pages. This page covers all of it, and we'll say "stored on your device" rather than "cookies" where it matters.
2. The four categories
Everything we store falls into one of four categories, and the category decides whether we need your permission.
- • **Strictly necessary** — the site cannot work without it. Keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie choice, preventing payment fraud. No permission needed, because there is no version of the service that works without these.
- • **Preferences** — remembering choices you've made, like language or currency.
- • **Analytics** — counting page views so we know what people use.
- • **Marketing** — advertising and tracking you across other websites.
3. What's stored on your device
### Strictly necessary
rc_consent — RecruitCommis — Remembers your cookie choice — 12 months
rc_anon_id — RecruitCommis — Lets us record your cookie choice — 12 months
sb-…-auth-token — Supabase — Keeps you signed in — Until sign-out
__stripe_mid — Stripe — Fraud prevention — payment and billing pages only — 1 year
__stripe_sid — Stripe — Fraud prevention — payment and billing pages only — 30 minutes
### Preferences
PUSH_SUBSCRIPTION — Browser push services (Mozilla, Apple, Google) — Sends you push notifications about your applications and candidates. You turn this on yourself and can turn it off at any time. — Until you remove the device or revoke permission
If this reads "None", it's because signed-out choices like currency and language live in the web address and in the page itself rather than on your device, and signed-in choices save to your account instead.
### Analytics
ANALYTICS_PROVIDER — None configured — Page counts — —
### Marketing
None.
5. Changing your choice
**Cookie settings** is in the footer of every page, including when no banner has appeared. It lists what's stored, and lets you change anything that's optional.
If a banner does appear, it offers **Accept all**, **Reject all** and **Choose**, as three buttons of the same size and weight. Nothing is ticked in advance. Rejecting doesn't lock you out of any part of RecruitCommis — there's no version of this site that's only available to people who accept.
Until you make a choice, nothing optional loads. If you reject, it never loads.
You can also clear everything through your browser's own settings. Doing that will sign you out.
6. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of everything optional, without asking you again. You'll see a note saying we've done that in Cookie settings.
7. When we ask again
We'll ask again if we add something new that needs your permission, or 12 months after your last choice, whichever comes first.
8. Things we don't do
- • No advertising or tracking across other websites, and no advertising network is allowed to place anything on your device through RecruitCommis.
- • No cookie wall. Refusing costs you nothing.
- • No pre-ticked boxes, and no design that makes accepting easier than refusing.
- • No fonts, scripts or other resources loaded from third-party services that would see your IP address on page load. Fonts are served from our own servers.
- • We don't sell or share personal information, here or anywhere else.
9. Other companies' storage
Some items above are set by companies that run parts of the platform for us, such as our payment provider and our sign-in provider. They can only use what they set to provide their service to us. Who they are, where they are, and how we protect information sent to them is on our [sub-processors page](/subprocessors).
10. Changes to this policy
When the list changes, this page changes with it, because the tables above are generated from the same list the site itself uses. If a change means asking for your permission, you'll be asked before the new item loads. Previous versions are at [/legal/cookies/versions](/legal/cookies/versions).
